Here is the latest idea from the Hewitt Foundation…It’s called….”Ding Ding Ditching Christmas”.
Our point of this project is to bring a surprise to the doors of several families in the community.
Let’s face it, 2020 has brought challenges with jobs, school, families not being able to see each other and toilet paper shortage!
We feel our community needs a “surprise blessing”…you know…something that will bring a spark of joy and happiness.
We are constantly keeping our ear to the ground for families that have had an unforeseen circumstance occur. Maybe a patent has recently lost their job, maybe a family member is going through medical treatment of some kind, maybe a family feels alone right now with the factors of 2020, or maybe a family just needs something to brighten their day because it’s been one of those weeks.
So here is what is included in bag-
– Candy canes for a candy cane hunt for the family to do in house or yard.
– A ticket to see the lights at Saluda Shoals Park drive thru.
– And a few other surprises!
60 bags will be delivered this weekend to families in our community. There will be a handwritten letter attached to each one expressing a heartfelt message of encouragement and hope.
We are excited to spread the love of Jesus through Ding Dong Ditching this Christmas!!! 🌲
