The entire community is invited out to Saluda Shoals Park on 6/26/21 for the 9th Annual Hewitt 5K. This event is in memory of, Parker and Haley Hewitt, who went to be with Jesus on 6/29/09 due to a tragic automobile accident.

Starting off the week by delivering care baskets to families going through difficult circumstances.

How are you loving and caring for your neighbor this week?

The Hewitt Foundation had the opportunity to provide food for the Northern Midlands FCA event.

If you weren’t there you missed Syvelle Newton sharing his story.

Get involved and plan to be a part next time!

Part 1 of our blanket drive project was at Newberry Elementary! Over 400 children received a brand new blanket!

Each child had the chance to pick out any new blanket they wanted. Our volunteer team enjoyed helping everyone find the perfect blanket to take home.Part 2 of our blanket drive project allowed us to provide over 500 children at Boundary St Elementary with a new blanket.

Here’s how we were able to accomplish this goal:

The amount of blankets donated for our initial project exceed our goal of 400 blankets for one school. Because of the overwhelming support from th e community, the Hewitt Foundation matched the donation total and provided a second elementary school with new blankets! How awesome is that!

That’s over 900 children in Newberry County that received new blankets because of your support and help with this project!

God is so good at working out the details of the story. Thank you to everyone who had a helping hand in making this all come together for the community of Newberry.

May these new blankets bring warmth, peace and comfort to every child.

Lots of care baskets being delivered this week. Everyone is going through something…be sure to check in with those around you.
